Pod-Owl-grass Basking Armadillo!

Seriously, I keep singing this - can't decide whether it's my age or the fact that we have had the most amazing summer and I want it to come back -  "a proper summer" as my Mum said but there again it followed a proper winter and I don't want that back!

Since we opened at the end of May we have had over 200 visitors and I am both touched and grateful for the lovely comments that my glamping guests have made.  We have met some great people, friendships formed and return visits booked in.

The Pods have been a great success basking in their Armadillo beauty which is a contradiction in itself!  We have added "gin seats"  at the back for times when the sun moves and we have Garden Games  for adults and children.  I have been asked to make more of how safe our site is for children and judging by the squeals and shouts as they race around in an open space, I can only presume this is the case.

We had a fantastic 55 year old VW camper van in last week (see pics) a labour of love by Mark, absolutely amazing and I have serious camper van envy.

The farm is now greening up after the dry spell, silage is in, cows have started calving, sheep are clipped and enjoyed the newly quenched grass and harvest is well underway.  Daughter is full on with Pony games (next stop Cheshire!), Eldest Son has just turned 21 (I am officially old!) and Middle son or "Youth" is still managing to juggle being a Party Animal with a farmer!

Husband Farmer, Daughter and I managed two days at Bamburgh in a friends beautiful holiday house this week which was heavenly, sunshine on the beach with friends, paddle boards and a BBQ - in my opinion, you can't find a better place to Staycation when the sun is here.....

On that note I'm off to prepare the BBQ Hut for the next guests... a good night for stargazing!......more news soon

Happy Glamping
